Why Stop at Just Coins?

Signature Coins Is Your One Stop Promotional Items Shop

We’ve naturally been outspoken about our challenge coin creations. Signature Coins is first and foremost a custom challenge coin company. However, that doesn’t mean that challenge coins are all that we do. So if you’re looking to get all of your promotional and appreciation-based items created in one place, we’ve got you covered.

When placing an order for challenge coins, don’t just stop at challenge coins. You’ve done all the hard work of creating a custom design; why not use that design to get your team a set of lapel pins, patches and/or belt buckles too? All of these products, and more, are available from Signature Coins, and can be used to augment your order at a moment’s notice. So before you finalize that next order of challenge coins, ask yourself if there’s anything more you might want to add to it to really push your design over the top.

Instances of Kitting Products in Past Orders

When you come to us looking for an order of custom challenge coins, it can sometimes be difficult to consider any other product being added to your order. However, when you look at the other ways customers have edited their orders to account for additional products, that can make it clearer.

Naval nuclear power belt buckle and challenge coins

The Naval Nuclear Power Training Command (NNPTC) is a long-time customer of ours. Over the years, they’ve designed unique challenge coins and belt buckles to be delivered to their students. In their most recent order, they selected a series of challenge coins along with their custom belt buckle design.  Each of these products have been ordered by the NNPTC individually before, but this is the first time they’ve kitted the items together in the same order.

For the NNPTC, each of these items being a reorder means they aren’t charged new mold fees for each product. That isn’t automatically the case for all orders with kitted items, but if you do place an order with us, the mold is kept on file for two years. Making use of those waived mold fees is an easy way to save money on future orders.

Homicide Unit Boston Police Challenge Coin Cufflinks and belt clips

The Boston Police Homicide Unit aren’t strangers to kitting different Signature Coins products together in a single order. In addition to their unique challenge coin series, they also used the design of their police badges to create different cufflinks and tie clips. The Boston Homicide Unit is a good example of how to group our products around a central theme. All of the products they ordered in addition to their challenge coins are uniform accessories to keep their officers looking classy while also increasing team unity. But upgrading your team’s uniform isn’t the only reason to kit different products together.

Kitting Products for Fundraisers

Challenge coins are often used for fundraising. Given the low per-coin cost and the high perceived value, it’s easy to see how selling the coins for $10 or more each would quickly make an organization a huge profit. But the best use of your design for fundraising purposes is to get as many different products as possible.

Signature coins prime challenge coins products for fundraisers

Prime Ammo had exactly that thought when they decided to order challenge coins and patches from us. Both products were added to their online merchandise store. The 100 challenge coins they ordered sold out in no time. At $25 a piece, those 100 challenge coins more than made back the cost of the entire order, and that’s not factoring in how much they continue to make off of the patches.

Our cufflinks, lapel pins, belt buckles and tie clips are all made using the same high quality materials and die-striking and precious metal plating technique as our coins. This means you can still sell them for enough money to make a strong profit and you’ll be in a position to offer potential customers a variety of items that might better meet their needs than challenge coins alone. If someone’s interested in supporting your cause but they don’t see the immediate need for a challenge coin of their own, perhaps a custom belt buckle, cufflink or patch will catch their interest more.

Crafting Your Perfect Order

We’ll never begrudge anyone for coming to us with the intention of only buying a set of custom coins. It’s what we’re here for, and we’ll always be happy to fulfill that role whenever needed. However, the fact remains that we can, and often do, do more than just challenge coins.

Creating your perfect challenge coin order starts with the design and artwork needed to create your perfect product. But it doesn’t have to end there. In addition to finalizing the look and feel of your coins, consider whether or not you’d like to see your design on a belt buckle or lapel pin. Would members of your team be happier with a patch they can iron onto their favorite piece of clothing, or maybe a pair of cufflinks or a tie clip is the best way to complete their look? Whatever needs you might come across, just know that Signature Coins has what it takes to create what you’re looking for.
