The Happy Doggos of Your Favorite Custom Coin Company

We Promise We’re Not Barking Mad

As you probably know by now, Signature Coins is a small (but constantly growing) custom coin company in Central Florida. One of the things that come with being a small company is the ability to have the kind of work/life balance a lot of larger companies can’t really match. Feeding our employees at company cookouts isn’t the only way we make sure to take care of our workforce.

Being a smaller company often means some of our employees have to put in longer hours to make sure everything gets done in a timely enough fashion to ensure you get your coins on time. As anyone with pets will tell you, not having a steady, consistent schedule is the sort of thing that wreaks havoc on a furry friend’s happiness and stability. Along those lines, we’ve allowed our employees to bring their (well trained) pups in to work with them.

Because our offices are located in a strip of different suites, we’ve been able to take one of those suites and turn it into a kind of doggy daycare. Not only does this keep our employees happy, it also means that no one’s doggo has to go a full day without the attention they need, or without the needed potty breaks. It also means that sometimes you might call us to place an order or ask for an update on your custom coins and hear a little barking in the background.

While we certainly apologize for the inconvenience, we also think if you got to know the puppers of Signature Coins, you’d love them as much as we do, and be as patient with their outbursts as we are. And so, without further ado, we present the happy, and at times lively, dogs of Signature Coins.

The Usual Suspects

First up, there’s Ember. A German Shepherd/Dutch Shepherd mix, Ember is just about the sweetest dog you’re likely to meet, and she’s certain to be bouncing with excitement to meet you. Described as a dog on springs, Ember has a tendency to jump in place when she’s excited, or to bound into your arms without warning. She’s a happy and hyper pup, but, even though hardly a day passes when she’s not in the office, she’s not likely to be the one causing a ruckus when you call.

When considering potential auditory disturbances, one of the possible culprits is sure to be Finn. A 4-year-old German Shepherd, Finn is one of the more vocal doggos in the family. He’s a territorial pup with a penchant for grumbling and whining when he wants attention or something isn’t quite going his way. He might not be the barkiest pup in the family, but if you call and hear strange sounds you can’t quite place, chances are it’s Finn. But in his defense, he also has a tendency to chase after small critters and pin them down with a well-placed paw, and that’s adorable, so all’s forgiven.

When you need a little aged civility added to the mix, Karoo is who you’re looking for. At 7-years-old, Karoo (named after the region in South Africa where she was born) is a cool, calm and collected Dutch Shepherd. If you’re ever lucky enough to visit our offices and hear a thud on the glass as you walk by, that’s Karoo trying to kindly get your attention. But as one of the older doggos with us, Karoo brings a quiet dignity the others could stand to emulate at times.

All of the dogs here have a tendency to bring a smile to our faces, but Blue might be the pup who does that most effortlessly. A Belgian Malinois clocking in at 2.5 years old, Blue can only be described as goofy and playful. He’s either still got a lot of the puppy in him, or he knows just how special he is and plays it for all it’s worth. The slate gray coloring that makes Blue Pitbulls so popular isn’t at all common in Malinoises, but it’s Blue’s signature.

Ember is the dog most often found in the office, but if there’s a single Signature Coins mascot, that honor would go to Dudley. Turning 9 this year, Dudley is the oldest doggo in the family, but even so, he’s an eternal puppy. He’s every bit as excitable and energetic as Ember, and when the two of them get together, it’s the most exciting playdate you’ve ever seen. If you ever make the mistake of thinking Dudley’s a grandpa, we invite you to play a game of tug-of-war with him. At roughly 75 lbs of loose skin and chest, he really packs a wallop! And he’s always happy to prove it.

In a group of Shepherd dogs and Malinoises, our sole Bulldog stands out, even while standing a lot shorter than the others.

Pardon Our Noise

When you call in and talk to our sales team, 90% of the time, the call will be clear and perfectly legible. However, every so often, you might hear a little (or a lot of) barking in the background. When that happens, ask your sales team member whether it’s Finn, Ember or Blue and you’ll be sure to kick off a long conversation about what’s happening in suite nine that day.

In general, on days when only one dog is in the office, things tend to remain pretty calm. But when there’s a full house, you’re far more likely to hear the dulcet tones of happy dogs playing and vying for attention in the background. At the very least, now that you know who the culprits are likely to be, we hope you can find it in yourself to be a little patient with us. We’re just a small custom coin company with employees who really love their dogs and can’t bear to be parted from them for a full work day. Surely, you can understand.
